FFA + Rodeo = a perfect combination! 🤠 Members of our FFA chapter attended National FFA Rodeo this afternoon in Indianapolis. The rodeo highlights the strong connection between agriculture and the western lifestyle. Competitors demonstrate skills in roping, riding and livestock handling - all rooted in agricultural education and leadership. Our students gained valuable insight into the hard work, discipline, and dedication it takes to compete at this level, and we're proud to support those who keep agricultural traditions alive! 💙💛

Day two at the FFA expo center! Our students returned to the Expo Center for the annual career fair, where they explored a wide range of colleges and potential career paths! Several students also took part in engaging workshops, including one focused on the power of remembering someone’s name—and how such a simple gesture can be one of the best compliments you can give. 🐝Buzzing with excitement! 🐝 This morning our members toured Hunters Honey Farm! 🍯 We gained valuable insight into the intricate roles each bee plays within the colony and the careful methods beekeepers use to maintain their hives. During our visit to the farm, we had the opportunity to bottle our own honey and sample some of their most popular varieties. (Pt.1)

An a-peeling day at Beasley's Orchard!🍎 Our FFA members learned all about apple production, sustainability, and agribusiness. 🌳 The second half of our day we took on the expo center and opening session.💙💛

SAY CHEEEEESE! 🧀 The Macks Creek FFA Chapter kicked off their journey to the National FFA Convention today! Along the way, they made a stop at Marcoot Jersey Creamery for a fascinating tour. Students learned all about the milking process and got an inside look at how delicious cheese and ice cream are made — from farm to table! 🧀🍦🐄 It’s been an exciting start to an unforgettable trip!

Congratulations to the Macks Creek Cross Country team for their strong showing this past Thursday at the PCL Conference Meet and Humansville dual run. Three Lady Pirate runners and one Pirate all ran personal records at this meet. Results from the meet:

Carter Ferrell: 2nd overall and 2nd in the PCL (All-Conference)
Sebastian Sanchez: 17th overall and 14th in the PCL.
Parker Christian: 19th overall and 15th in the PCL.
Kaelee Keehler: 14th overall and 11th in the PCL. (set a PR - 26:40.1)
Izzy Willey: 17th overall and 14th in the PCL. (set a PR - 27.21.4)
Bailey Allan: 20th overall and 15th in the PCL. (set a PR - this is also the first time that Bailey has finished under 30 minutes at 29:21.6 - Congratulations, Bailey!)
Alejandra Sanchez ran her first race in the MS and finished 3rd overall (set a PR - 15:07.9)

Congratulations to all our runners! They will be back in action this Saturday at Hermitage for Districts! Good luck!
