Super Cat Fest 4 Kids donated $10,000 to ensure our students will have nutritious and delicious breakfasts and lunches all year long! One of our counselors, Mrs. Candy Bothwell and our Middle School Science teacher, Mr. Chris Bothwell attended the organization's Check Presentation Ceremony at Camden on the Lake. Founded in 2017, Super Cat Fest 4 Kids began as a local project tied to the Lake of The Ozarks Shootout to help local non profits raise funds for helping kids. Since then, the organization has expanded to serve thousands of children in many communities. Last school year, thanks to another incredible $10,000 donation from Super Cat Fest 4 Kids, 31 of our students, who qualified for reduced lunch, had their lunch accounts paid in full for the remainder of the school year. Another 61 of our students, who didn't quite qualify for the reduced rate, received a deposit of $120 in their meal accounts to offset the price of meals for the rest of the school year! This year, once again thanks to Super Cat Fest 4 Kids extreme generosity of another $10,000, we will be able to again ensure all of our students receive nutritional school meals all year long! Tomorrow, our amazing MCHS band students are taking their "first steps" as a marching band at Lebanon's Annual Christmas Parade! Our Marching Band has been practicing since school began and would love to see some familiar faces in the crowd! The parade starts at 11am and runs right through the middle of town, beginning at Boswell Park on Elm Street heading East on Elm then turning north on Jefferson to 6th street near Price Cutter. Our students are excited and nervous for their very first parade. It looks like it's going to be a beautiful day to kick off the Christmas season - we hope to see you there! #MCPirates
Macks Creek FBLA members are attending skills labs today at National Fall Leadership Conference. This mornings sessions include topics like entrepreneurship, business world, building effective teams, and college success.
