Good morning, Pirates! The Macks Creek School Library is participating in a classroom-level coin drive called the 'All for Books Coin Drive Challenge'. The challenge will run next Tuesday - Friday (April 11 - 14). Each day during the week will represent a different type of coin: Tuesday - Pennies/Nickels Wednesday - Dimes Thursday - Quarters Friday - Anything goes! The classes are broken into two sections: PreK - 3rd classrooms will compete against each other while the 4th - 6th grades will face-off. The classroom that collects the highest overall total will receive a prize, and their teacher will receive a cash prize to be spent at the Book Fair the following week! (April 17 - 21) What does your donation help with? Purchasing new books for the library and classroom libraries, easier access to books for students, and helping kids connect with more books! Today April 6th, Baseball travels to Walnut Grove today with a 5:30 PM start time against another conference opponent in the PCL. The High School Track Team also travels to Osceola for their meet with a 3:45 PM start time. Good Luck teams! #MCPirates

The MS Track team competed in the PCL Conference meet this evening at Skyline. Coach Treat is proud of our hard working athletes who brought home medals and many personal records! Here are the results for our 7th grade athletes: Sebastian Sanchez took 1st in the 400m (1:03.05), 2nd in the 100m (13.06), and 1st place in the 200m with a PR of 27.59! Weston Martineau took 1st in the 100m with a 13.02. Zane Brooks set a 1:13 PR in the 400 as well as a PR of 3:08 in the 800. Izzy Willey set a PR of 15.04 in the 100 and a PR of 32.69 in the 200. Taeler Osborne ran 15.78 in the 100 and set a PR of 32.72 in the 200. On the 8th grade side: Riley Barclay ran 14.7 in the 100 and took 2nd place in the triple jump. Madi Moos leaped 3.1 meters in the long jump. Preston Stephens set a PR of 29.6 in the 200. Kevin Bowman ran 13.8 in the 100m and set a PR of 29.39 in the 200. Sawyer George ran 14.2 in the 100. Calvin Eidson threw 9.4 meters in the shotput. Eli Charlton threw 27.2 in discus and 11.3 in the shot put. Great job Middle school track team! #MCPirates

The Wheatland Baseball Tournament will begin next week on Monday, 4/10. The first three rounds will be played at Wheatland Sports Complex with all three rounds starting at 4:00 PM. The first round will be against Lakeland, the second round on Tuesday, will be against Weaubleau and the third round will be against Wheatland on Thursday. The bracket is attached. The Lady Pirates Softball team host the Dixon Lady Bulldogs on Thursday this week 4/6 at Ballparks National with a start time of 5:00 PM. Come out and support the girl as they only have one more home game this spring against Plato. The Macks Creek Park Board is hosting a whole-family event this Saturday at the Macks Creek Community Park from 10 - 2. This "all-free" event will include Easter egg hunting, games & activities, a bounce house, as well as drawings and give aways of a variety of donated prizes. Hot dogs, chips and soda will be served. The egg hunt for ages 0 - 4 will start at 11 AM. The hunt for ages 5 - 8 will start at noon and the hunt for children ages 9 - 12 will begin at 1:00 PM. All of the eggs will be stuffed with fun prizes or candy. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Overflow parking will be available at Macks Creek School and a shuttle will be provided. We hope you and your family can attend! #MCPirates

Addie Ratliff and Caleb Phillips finished out this evening's meet for the Pirates in the 3200m race. Addie took 4th place overall with a time of 14:37. In his third distance contest of the evening, Caleb took 2nd with a time of 11:26. Great job HS Track team! The team will be back in action this Thursday at Osceola. #MCPirates

Jade Stasiak ran a PR this evening in the 400 with a time of 1:16. Brooklyn Duggan ran the 300m hurdles faster than she did last meet, finishing 56.23. Jose Cortez took a full second off his time from Buffalo, finishing the 300m hurdles in 46.53. In the 800 meter, Caleb Phillips ran a PR of 2:09.25 to take 1st place. Great job team! #MCPirates

The HS Track team is at the Warsaw Invitational this evening. Brooklyn Duggan started off with a great time in 100m hurdles of 18.3 seconds. Jose Cortez took 2nd in 110m hurdles with a time of 18.5 seconds. In the 100m dash, Brooklyn took 3rd with a time of 13.7. In the same event, Jose ran well with a time of 12.62. Macks Creek Art and Music students visited the Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville, AR. They took an hour long tour of Diego Rivera's mural work, were treated to lunch provided by the museum, and then got to explore the museum campus showcasing a mix of art and culture. Our art teacher, Mr. Cullen shared, "I look forward to returning next year with a whole new group." #MCPirates
