We are eligible to win $1,000 for our school! STUCO is brainstorming a variety of ways to utilize these funds...helping to rebuild our outdoor classroom, Project Graduation, Project Prom, etc.
Please make a pledge and share! 💙💛 #MCPirates

Junior Addison Ratliff enjoyed her third time competing at the State Cross Country Championships this morning. Addie, a seasoned runner, takes advantage of the sport to get in shape for basketball every year. With her 53rd place finish today in a field of over 175 of the fastest in the sport, she finished this season strong! Great job Addie! #MCPirates

Senior Caleb Phillips returned to the MSHSAA Cross Country Championships for the fourth time in his high school career this morning. Caleb earned All-State, finishing in the top 25 his sophomore and junior years. After districts on Saturday, Caleb was seeded 8th in the State. He was looking forward to the best finish of his career when the gun sounded and over 175 of Missouri's best began to race. When he crossed the finish line completing his final run, he threw up his hands up in joy because he ran well and captured 10th place! During his high school running career he has enjoyed the challenge, competition and camaraderie of the sport. Through the years he has become friends with countless runners from many schools. As the lone runner for the Macks Creek Pirates boys team this school year, he hopes other Pirates join next year to keep the sport alive at Macks Creek for years to come. Caleb shared one of the best memories of his XC career was when the boys team of Vaughn, Kyler, Jose, Dakota and Nick took 4th place at Districts and the entire team advanced to State along with Lady Pirates Molly and Adriana who both qualified. He is looking forward to Track season and hopes other MCHS students who haven't tried out the sport of running will take their first strides this spring. He is grateful to Lady Pirates Addie and Bailey, who made up the gals team this year, as well as his coaches for a great season together. Congratulations and well done Caleb!

Congratulations to Caleb Phillips who finished 10th in the Class 1 State Cross Country Championships! This senior finished with a 17:25.5. Thank you Caleb for a great season and a great running career! #MCPirates

After a spirited send-off from school today, Addie Ratliff and Caleb Phillips made their way to Columbia. The duo visited Rock Bridge State Park where they enjoyed the scenery and ventured into a cave before checking-in at MU's Gans Creek XC course. The two went through a pre-race warm up and stopped to take pictures at the finish line. After dining at Olive Garden they checked out downtown Columbia and the MU campus. Good luck tomorrow Addie and Caleb! #MCPirates

The Macks Creek FFA spent their last full day at National Convention with a morning visit to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Students had an opportunity to get on the track and 'kiss the bricks' a tradition started in 1996 as a way to pay tribute to the history of the track. Students will start the trek back to Macks Creek tomorrow morning. #MCPirates

Our XC runners were sent off to State with fanfare. 🎉 Good luck Addie and Caleb! We know you will make us proud! 💙💛 #MCPirates
