The Lady Pirates have advanced to the Class 1 District 5 Championship game tomorrow, Friday, February 23!
The MC Cheerleaders are again planning to sponsor a Pep bus (if enough students sign up) for grades 7 - 12. This is for students only. In order to ride, students must sign up at school by the end of the day on Friday, February 23 (tomorrow). Cost of admission to the game is $6. Students will also need to bring money for concessions (if they choose to). The bus will depart from the school at 4:30 p.m. Game time is 6:00 p.m. Let's go Lady Pirates! #MCPirates

State Wrestling update:
Aidyn Merchant fell in his semi-final match this morning to Macon 10-2. During his second match he pinned Warsaw in the wrestle-backs stage to ensure an opportunity to wrestle for Third Place this afternoon.

Macks Creek advances to the Championship game of the Class 1 District 5 Girl's Basketball tournament with 60-33 win over Climax Springs. They will face the winner of second-seeded Wheatland and third-seeded Stoutland on Friday. Game time us 6:00 p.m. #MCPirates




Moving into the fourth the Lady Pirates hold a 54-21 over the Lady Cougars. #MCPirates



In the second, the Lady Pirates continue to move the ball and use defense to score. They now hold a 42-18 lead over the Lady Cougars at the half. #MCPirates



Macks Creek's Kamora Merchant began her State run this afternoon. After losing her first match by pin, she rebounded with a pin if her own in the second. She lost in the final period of her third match to end her season. Great first season, Kamora! #MCPirates

The Lady Pirates start out on fire offensively and lead the Lady Cougars 27-10 at the end of the first quarter. #MCPirates




Today, Zero the Hero and Mrs. Zero the Hero visited Kindergarten and 1st grade to celebrate the 100th day of school! #MCPirates






Aidyn Merchant has advanced to the semis at State! He won his first dual in 32 seconds by fall, then his second in 1:20 by pin! He will wrestle again tomorrow!
Kamora will wrestle this afternoon starting at 1:00 p.m. in the girl's bracket.

The Pirates hold on for a 48-46 win over the Cougars! They advance to the second round on Thursday against the top-seeded Wheatland Mules. Game time is 5:30 p.m. #MCPirates

A Jose Cortez buzzer beater at the end of third pushes the Pirates lead to 40-36! Keep it up boys! #MCPirates



The pace picked up in the second as Macks Creek and Climax exchanged blows! Headed into the half its the Pirates ahead by a score of 24-21. #MCPirates



The fourth-seeded Pirates and the fifth-seeded Cougars both struggle offensively out of the gates. At the end of the first the score is tied at six. #MCPirates



Macks Creek wrestlers Aidyn and Kamora Merchant were sent off today to State Competition in Columbia! Good luck to both competitors! They will wrestle the next two days at the MSHSAA Wrestling Championships! #MCPirates

Here are the girls and boys basketball District Tournament Brackets. We are hosting the Boys tournament in Macks Creek. The girls are traveling to Wheatland for their District Tournament. #MCPirates
