Today the Pirates and Lady Pirates encountered wind, sun and a little bit of rain as they took on the district championships at SBU. The top 4 participants in each event will move on to compete in sectionals next Saturday, May 15th in Sarcoxie, MO for a chance to progress onto the state championship.
Morgan Mitchell was able to set PRs in both shot put and discus. Kyler Gabriel and Autumn Miller both set new PRs on the triple jump and Jose Cortez put up a competitive time on the 800 meter run. Congratulations to these athletes on an outstanding season!
Athletes progressing onto sectionals are Adriana Mayer in both the triple jump and 400 meter, Caleb Phillips in both the 3200 meter and 1600 meter and Molly Phillips in the long jump, 3200 meter, 1600 meter and 800 meter. Good luck as you prepare for the next level of competition! #MCPirates

Congratulations to the four Pirates who competed at today's meet at School of the Osage. Morgan Mitchell had PR's in the shot and discus. Caleb Phillips captured a silver medal in the mile and bronze in the two-mile. Adriana Mayer took silver in the 400, bronze in the 200 and 4th in the 100. Molly Phillips secured silver in the Long Jump and gold in the two-mile. Well done everyone! The team will be back in action at Camdenton on Thursday. #MCPirates
