The Pirates pushed hard today at the State XC meet at MU's Gans Creek Course in Columbia. Caleb finished 56th with a time of 18:50. Kyler finished 123rd with a time 20:32. The Pirates were in a field of approximately 190 runners. Great job to these Freshmen who will no doubt continue to be competitive in years ahead! Thank you both for a great season! #MCPirates

Congratulations to the Macks Creek XC Teams who both finished 3rd at the Class 1 District 5 Meet in Hermitage. Four XC athletes are Statebound this year! Way to run Molly Phillips (5th), Adriana Mayer (8th), Caleb Phillips (4th) and Kyler Gabriel (10th). All four will compete on MU's Gans Creek Course next Saturday in Columbia. The Macks Creek Cross Country teams will compete in the Class 1 District 5 meet this Saturday, October 31st at Outlet Park, Lake Pomme De Terre in Hermitage (23296 Outlet Park, Hermitage MO 65668). Admission is $5.00 per person. Download a map of the course/parking here: https://5il.co/mku1. The Lady Pirates will race at 9 AM followed by the Pirates at 9:40. For the first time at a district meet, both of our XC teams will have enough runners for each to score as a team. In XC, the top 15 runners at a district meet qualify for state (regardless of school affiliation) along with the 2 fastest teams. Coach Alexander shared “right now the Lady Pirates and Pirates are healthy and on-pace for everyone to qualify for State.” Run hard Pirates & Lady Pirates – we are proud of you! #MCPirates
Our FFA is hosting a "Backwoods Haunted Hayride" in the lower parking lot at Macks Creek School. The event will be held this Thursday, Oct 29th and Friday, Oct. 30th from 7 to 10 PM. Congratulations to the Macks Creek Pirates and Lady Pirates who both took 1st Place at today's meet at Ft. Leonard Wood. On the ladies side Molly Phillips took 1st, Adriana Mayer 2nd, Alyssa Gabriel 6th, Taylor Rich 9th and Chelsea Brown 13th. For the Pirates, Caleb Phillips finished 1st, Grant English 3rd, Kyler Gabriel 7th, Jose Cortez 8th, Austin Brown 9th and Aydin Long 12th. Congratulations XC athletes!
