Macks Creek students recently attended the Missouri Beef Industry Tour. Dr. John Murphy presented information on SBU's new agriculture program after which students enjoyed a delicious beef dinner. Next students boarded buses to tour Missouri Prime. The business is a USDA-inspected facility where Show Me Beef is produced from locally raised beef. Students also took a trip to Lazy L Ranch and Buchen Processing. All of these activities are a part of Missouri Beef Days - a week of events in Polk County celebrating and promoting the beef industry in Missouri. Macks Creek students who attended the tour included Riley Manning, Joe Hufferd, Makenna Campbell, Cassidy Campbell, Trenton Arnold, Wyatt Brooks, Kamora Merchant, Baylee Hash, Morgan Buck, Ava Willis, Eva Willis, and India Willis. The group's chaperones were Shawna and Byron Willis and Greg and Debbie Wommack. Macks Creek School appreciates the Missouri Beef Industry and is grateful this learning opportunity was made available to our students! #MCPirates
