Macks Creek fans turned out this evening at Ballparks National to cheer on the Lady Pirates and celebrate three seniors. Vanessa Wallace, Callie Leach and Ciera Compton were recognized in a ceremony after the game. Each of these Lady Pirates were accompanied by their parents. We are going to miss you ladies!
Congratulations to senior softball manager Vanessa Wallace! Vanessa is the daughter of Amy Wallace and Dustin Wallace. In addition to playing and managing softball, her high school activities include student council, student government and the Camden County Leadership group. One of her favorite memories centers around her "Just Dance" performance in a pickle costume in Mrs. Janke’s classroom. Vanessa's favorite quote, from Justin Bieber, is "everyday we wake up is another blessing...follow your dreams and don't let anyone stop you - never say never." Vanessa's future plans are to attend college to become a high school teacher.
Congratulations to senior softball player Callasandra Leach! Callie is the daughter of Roy and Stacey Leach. Her high school activities include playing softball and cheering for the last four years. She is also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Her most memorable moments are getting sick on the bus with Lahnae traveling to away games. Her favorite quote shared by Dori in Finding Nemo is "when life gets you down, you know what you gotta do? Just keep swimming." Callie plans to attend cosmetology school after graduation.
Congratulations to senior softball player Ciera Compton! Ciera is the daughter of Joshua and Lindsey Compton. Her high school activities include playing softball the past four years, cheer, and FBLA. Ciera's most memorable moment was when Vanessa beat Coach Trusty's 3-bite record for eating a cheese burger. An anonymous quote, "the difference between winning and losing is not quitting", is her favorite. Ciera's future plans are to attend college to major in psychology.
