Husong Family

Macks Creek School's newest board member, Mr. Ray Husong was sworn in at last night's school board meeting. Mr. Husong and incumbent, Mrs. Stacy Trusty were the only two candidates to file to run in this April's election. Macks Creek School issued a Notice of No Election with Camden County, since the number of candidates matched the number of open seats. Mr. Husong will take the seat of Mrs. Cheri Nations who has served as a school board member for the last 11 years! Thank you Cheri for your faithful service to our school community. Mrs. Nations led Mr. Husong in reciting the Oath of Office.  Below is Mr. Husong's autobiography:

My name is Raegan Husong. As a new member to the school board, I look forward to bringing new ideas and different perspectives. I am excited to work with the fellow board members to serve our community.

I was born in Springfield, MO in 1975. My father, William, was from Climax Springs and my mother, Bonnie (Woodall), was from Macks Creek. I grew up in the  Climax Springs and Warsaw area, attending school mostly in the Warsaw School District. I obtained my GED at age 17 testing out of the Homeschooling Program. I worked as an EMT for 3 years.  After that, I started working at a printing facility, where I stayed for 7 years. I went to college in 2007 and graduated with my Associates of Occupational Studies in Electrical Mechanics/PLCs.

My wife Angela and I married in 2005. We moved to a small hobby farm in Macks Creek in 2018. We have 3 children, Trinity (15), Israel (13), and Gideon (10).  Our youngest son has Autism, so I am a stay-at-home Dad. My wife works as a Nurse Practitioner in the Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic at Fort Leonard Wood. We attend church at the Branch Assembly of God. I am currently a board member for the Branch Assembly of God Good Samaritan Outreach Center.

Mr. Husong is led in the recitation of the Macks Creek School Board Member Oath of Office by former board member, Mrs. Cheri Nations. Mrs. Angela Husong is by his side. In the cover photo, Mr. Husong is joined by his wife and three sons.

Congratulations and welcome to the school board Mr. Husong! We are excited to have you serving our students.
