The Middle School Pirates and Lady Pirates competed for Conference at the Skyline Invitational this past Wednesday with the Boys finishing as the Conference Runner-up and the Lady Pirates defending their Conference Championship from last year! Both teams walked away with a total of 32 All-Conference performances.
First Team All-Conference athletes are Baylee Hash in the 100 meters, 400 meters, and Long Jump, Johnny Vasquez in the 400 meter, Brooklyn Downing in the 200 meters, Riley Barclay in the Triple Jump, Madison Moos in the High Jump, Eli Charlton in the Shot Put, the Boys 4x200 Relay composed of Weston Martineau, Sebastián Sanchez Chavez, Fisher Wiethop, and Eli Charlton, and the Girls 4x400 Relay composed of Izabelle Willey, Brooklyn Green, Madison Moos, and Brionna Boggs. Second Team All-Conference athletes are Baylee Hash in the 200 meter, Johnny Vasquez in 200 meter and Triple Jump, Riley Barclay in the 100 meter, Lavery Gorsline in the 800 meter, Brooklyn Green in the 1600 meter, Brooklyn Downing in the 100 meter hurdles, the Girls 4x100 Relay composed of Riley Barclay, Izabelle Willey, Leigha Jensen, and Brooklyn Downing, and the Boys 4x400 Relay composed of Weston Martineau, Sebastián Sanchez Chavez, Fisher Wiethop, and Calvin Eidson.
The High School Pirates and Lady Pirates competed in the Buffalo Invitational in Buffalo last week on a beautiful Friday evening against very tough competition that resulted in many personal best performances. The night was highlighted by 3rd place finishes by Senior Molly Phillips in the 1600 meter, Senior Adriana Mayer in the 400 meter, and Sophomore Caleb Phillips in the 1600 meter and 3200 meter.
This past Friday the High School Pirates and Lady Pirates competed in the Whitehead Relays in Ash Grove. The night had many strong performances but were highlighted by 1st place finishes by Senior Molly Phillips in the 1600 meter and 3200 meter, 2nd place finishes by Senior Obediah Tower and Freshmen Brooklyn Duggan in the 300 meter hurdles, and Sophomore Caleb Phillips in the 3200 meter, and 3rd place finishes by Senior Obediah Tower in the 110 meter hurdles and Freshmen Brooklyn Duggan in the 100 meter hurdles.
The High School Track & Field Team will be back in action on Wednesday, April 13th at the PCL Conference Championship Meet at Skyline. Good luck team!
