Middle School Students Performing

On December 10th, the Macks Creek music department put on their annual Christmas Concert. Kindergarten and First grade started the concert right with “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Up on the Housetop”. Followed by Second and Third grade singing “Deck the Hall” and “I Saw Three Ships”. To wrap up the elementary the Fourth and Fifth grade sang “Silver Bells” and “The Twelve Days of Christmas”.

The Concert Band began the middle and high school half of the performance. Performing four pieces entitled “Fireside Christmas”, “Christmas Tree Rock”, “O Holy Night”, and “Christmas at the Circus”. Rock U made their Christmas Concert debut with “Jingle Bell Rock” and “Santa Looked a lot Like Daddy”.  Choir on Fire, made up of students from fifth to eighth grade, performed three wonderful pieces; “Let It Snow”, “Cold Snap”, and “Stille Nacht” which was performed with the high school choir as well. To wrap up the singing portion of our concert the high school choir sang “Up on the Housetop” by Pentatonix, “Glow”, and “Christmas … In About 3 Minutes”.

To finish the concert was the ever awaited Christmas play put on by sixth, seventh, and eighth grade. This year was “Lights! Camera! Christmas!” A delightful play about six movie producers trying to make the perfect Christmas movie about Santa Claus. It covered all kinds of movie genres like film noir, modern, silent film, heroes and adventure, and of course spaghetti western. By the end the directors come together to make one big movie with all the different genres and the real Santa Claus makes his big entrance!
