The Lady Pirates pressure defense caused major problems for the visiting Hornets as Macks Creek jumped out to an 18-9 first quarter lead and never looked back as they took care of business and posted their 4th win in 5 games, 54-24.  India Willis again led the scoring with 18 of her team high 21 points in the first half.  Emma Seaholm was dominating inside with 11 points and 9 rebounds while point guard Brooklyn Duggan dished out 8 assists and chipped in 9 points of her own.  Katie Brown had a season high 6 points, Ashlee Klinksick added 5 and Brianna Taylor rounded out the scoring with 2.

The junior high boys got back on track despite 3 players out with injuries and knocked off Laquey 40-21 behind a season high 19 points from Hunter Cullen.  Defensive pressure by the boys created havoc for the visitors as they continue to improve.  Kyler Gabriel was as good as he's been all year on defense and his 7 points were simply a bonus.  Jose Cortez and Tagen Seaton each added 5 points and Hudson Lane came off the bench and added a nice boost to the offense with 4 of his own.

Both B teams also won their games with the boys improving to 3-2 on the year with wins over Hermitage last week 24-5 and over Laquey 23-16.  Hudson Lane led the team against Laquey with 10, Colton Eidson had 6 and Braxton Callow added 4.  In the previous matchup against Hermitage, Dakota Willis, now out with a broken arm, and Nick Hicks led the way with 6 each, Braxton Callow and Aiden Bowman added 4 each, and Colton Eidson and Sean Green had 2 each.

Both teams are back in action tonight at Crocker with a start time of 5:30.
